Christmas-es

Our first Christmas together, I flew to spend the holiday with him --- 11 or 12 days

Our second one together, he was in the army and I was in Toronto ~ 13 hour time difference.  He would call me around 5:30pm in the camp using those calling cards and we found out that they would run out uber fast. The time difference meant that he woke me up everyday around 6:30am just to talk for about 30 seconds.  It was uber uber sweet.

Our third one together, we didn't do anything.  However, he and his brother (and girlfriend - one of the nicest girls ever!) came to celebrate the New Year.

This year, 2011, he came to spend the holiday with me.

We had a reading vacation.  We didn't make any plans and just did what we felt like doing each day.  He cooked for me <3.  We went to visit the Buddha.  We also did some shopping.  He was reading Steve Jobs and I was reading Emotional Intelligence.  On the 26th, he took me to eat steak - our nice holiday dinner - his treat =)

He also made Fish Soup - uber uber delicious!

It was a very nice vacation.  To me, this was an important vacation because this was the first time we sort of lived together.  Of course, he comes over every weekend, but this was the first time we lived together under one roof with no particular plans made ahead of time for more than a weekend.

Of course, we have also gone on vacations for more than the duration of a weekend, but vacations are different in that they are home away from home.

So, this was a very meaningful holiday.  This was a glimpse of how it would be like when we live together........and I liked what I saw.
