I take a mini-bus to work everyday. Yes =) a mini-bus. Where I live, there are these smaller buses that seat 16 people and you can flag them down anywhere along the road to get on. So, it's every convenient because you can get on and off wherever you like and it's faster than the big buses.
I've been taking the same mini-bus for more than a year now and of course, I recognize all the drivers. There's a really old one (he looks almost 90) but he's as sharp as ever. I have no problem with his driving skills. Then there's a younger one (around late 50s) and he's not that good. He scares me a little because it seems to me that he can't see very well or something's wrong with his head. Whenever I get on his bus, I always worry if I will make it out alive. So far, no problems yet.
Then there's the youngest one (about 40). He's just your ordinary middle-age guy: balding, not particularly attractive.....anyway, that's besides the point.
THE POINT is!.....is that you can tell he takes great pride in his job. His bus is always in tip-top condition - always sparkling clean. Since it's Christmas, he's decorated his bus with a few ornaments. Also, his bus is always full of the little decorations that his daughter made for him.
It just puts me in a good mood in the morning when I see something like this. In any ordinary job, there could be little miracles....little things that make your job special.....little things that brighten up your day =)
