Facebook Decluttering
The new year means a new beginning. And one way to begin anew is to declutter your space and make way for new opportunities, things, items, anything.
I decided to declutter my facebook feeds today . On facebook, we get daily updates on what's happening with our 'friends'. Whoever you have friended, you will automatically get updated about their happenings.
When I first started on facebook (several years ago), I thought it was a great idea. I can keep tabs on what's going on with everyone. But overtime, especially recently, I just grew out of it. Too much information, information about people that I don't really know, don't really care about.......just too much unnecessary information that I would rather not see.
So, I took it upon myself today to unsubscribe from people who I wasn't particularly interested about, i.e. friends of friends, acquaintances.....generally, people who I wouldn't really see (either in person or online) if it wasn't for facebook.
I think this is a positive step for my mental well being. I feel like it will declutter my mind, keep me focused, and not be affected by something that somebody quite irrelevant wrote (i.e. 9 dishes).
What do you think? Do you declutter your social network pages? Does it help you refocus in the long run?
