Happiness is....

As cliche as this title is, it really does deserve its own post.

For the past two months or so, I said that a storm has been brewing and now, I think it has ran its course, done its thing, and gone kaput.

Happiness is a choice.  It's choosing to be happy despite all the problems at hand.  It's choosing not to let the bad stuff take over the entirely of your mind.  Basically, it's saying....

"Heck, the %$^%^& with this, I'm just going to enjoy the things that are still good."

It's really a choice.

What enables this ability to choose is the realization that there will always be problems.  No matter how quickly you think you can resolve or figure out your problems, they just keep coming back.  It's just like dirty laundry.

So, instead of fixating on these problems, which are probably the kind of problems that cannot be resolved in a day or two, you simply let go, let them be, and move on.

I find that it is really like that.  Kind of like a dealing with a break up: you realize that you can no longer fix it, so you choose to move on.

No, Chris and I are not having problems.  What I have been dealing with are some family issues (see previous post below), which as you all know, are complicated, messy, and basically un-solvable and un-figure-out-able.

Because you know, life is not all about solving problems.  It's also about enjoying what's good despite the problems.
