Weekend
Spent Saturday reading about the civil society in Japan and Korea. I found it very interesting and will continue reading and pick out cases for class.
Sunday, went to see Chris =) I met him in the morning for breakfast (one of my favourite places to go when I'm with him), then we did lunch, followed later on with dinner at a nice restaurant. As you can see, we ate a lot and I think, generally, Chris and I just enjoy eating together.
In between meals, we walked around the city and noticed a lot of new shops opened in the area. The weather turned out to be quite nice for a bit of walking. Not too cold, but chilly enough that you want to walk really close together ;)
We took a coffee break at Starbucks and shared a grande caramel macchiato. The place was packed. Chris talked about his career, which seemed quite alright...but we will see what happens. Our 'wish' is that good things will happen to our careers this year.
So, it was an uneventful day, but I thought it was perfect. It was just the kind of relaxing Sunday that's perfect for recharging after a week of work and getting ready for the the week ahead. We also walked around in a really posh supermarket and talked about how we should have really nice wine glasses in our house.
A bit random, I know, but it makes me smile nevertheless =)
Classes start next Monday...oh god...and I have class at 9:30 on Monday morning. Kill me.
This is officially the calm before the storm.
Not looking forward to it.
