Foot in the door { literally }

On my way to work this morning, rush hour, and you just know how everyone races to get into the elevator.  Well, this morning, someone literally jammed his foot into the elevator door and got in.  He was wearing some Doc Martens, so I assumed it didn't hurt that much. 

But I couldn't believe people actually do that in real life! Have you done that before? Stopping the elevator doors from closing with your foot?  Classy? Smart? Or just........Orz?
