Chris has somehow talked me into cooking a new dish every week - well, one or two dishes per week.
He said, "You should practise during the week; I am not your lab mouse on weekends." Half jokingly, of course.
In all honest truth, he would eat and finish anything that I make. But somehow, I suspect that as part of our preparation to get married, he would feel a lot better if I can turn out decent meals 3 or 4 times a week.
Normally, on weekdays when I'm just eating alone, anything goes. I eat a lot of veggies and not so much meat. But Chris, I don't think he will be satisfied without some protein and carbs. Salads and beans for the whole week would probably turn him green...lol! He doesn't like beans?!?
So, I will try. Yes, I made my first dish yesterday and the experience was not as bad as I thought. I ventured into the supermarket just like all the working moms and grandmas after work and manged to get home with all my groceries. I was starving by that time, so I actually had a snack and a mini rest before I started cooking. Cheating, I know.
Real working moms actually wouldn't be able to afford a snack and a break before the chaos begins.
So, training camps, possibly? I guess there's no better time than now. Summer's here, school's out, and I'm not so busy =P
Being able to cook the things I like, good;
Being able to like the things I cook, even better =)
