Dilbert

I woke up this morning and all of a sudden, I've developed a major dislike towards squares and rectangles.

[back track]

I was on my way to work, walking to the bus stop, nothing particularly different, just my usual-pensive-self.  When I got to the bus stop, a Mercedes-Benz happened to stop in front me and I couldn't help but stare at it.  All of a sudden, I realized that the guy was sitting inside a rectangular box.  Then it dawned on me that, if given the choice, I will never allow myself to sit inside an rectangular box

And it got worse.  I began to notice that everything was either a square or a rectangle.  A Box.  All the cars, all the stores, all the signs, all the buildings.  We human beings actually live in a square world!!  Who decided that the square was THE shape to define our lives?  Why a square?  Is the square the most efficient way to organize human life?  Is our goal in life simply efficiency??

These thoughts stayed with me until I got to my office.  Then, obviously, work took over and there was no need to think anymore until I was walking back home from work 8 hours later.

Then, another thought popped into my head...

There's nothing more important than doing the things you want to do, having a life.  It didn't matter if you were rich or whatever, what's important is that you've got yourself together.  If I were to invest, I would invest in life, in particular, relationships...because that's what matters.  All this talk about stocks and the housing market....that all don't matter.

And there you have it; my quote of the day:
"Invest in relationships because they have the greatest returns."

Chris asked me if I was going to write a book on that...lol....I told him, maybe someday, when I have enough material for a book.
