Came and Left

Chris' younger brother and his girlfriend flew in for a day to visit us.  They literally came and left all within 36 hours?  It was uber rushed.

We picked them up at their hotel mid-morning and even before they had time to unpack, we whisked them away to brunch.  After that, we gave them a city tour with lots and lots of walking and subway-ing. 

By mid-afternoon, they were totally drained.  But then, we had coffee, so they were able to make it until night time and take in all the night lights of our fabulous city.

This was a surprise birthday trip for the girlfriend.  It's her first time coming here and it is also my first time meeting her.  I don't quite know what to make of her yet....so, I'll just say it was interesting.   

Between you and me, I certainly liked his last girlfriend a lot better.  But, that's none of my business...and so, I won't say more.....yet.

2 more sleeps later, Chris and I will be flying out as well.  That's our Christmas holiday - a short one - but it should be good.  I hope!
